Sep 15th - Sep 18th, 2008 Athens, Greece MNE 2008
The conference brings together engineers and scientists from all over the world to discuss recent progress and future trends in the fabrication, manufacturing and application of micro - and nano- structures and devices.
Applications in Electronics, Electro-mechanics, Environment and Life Sciences are discussed such as: nanoelectronics, MEMS-NEMS, bioMEMS and lab-on-a-chip devices. Usually the conference is organized in 3 parallel sessions and features plenary talks, invited presentations and posters, poster sessions, and a commercial exhibition.
The conference proceedings are published in Microelectronic Engineering. The MNE 2008 conference in Athens will be the 34th in a series that started in Cambridge in 1975, and was most recently held in Rotterdam (2004), Vienna (2005), Barcelona (2006) and Copenhagen (2007).
MNE has a related conference, the International Conference on Electron-, Ion- and Photon- Beam Technology and Nanofabrication (EIPBN) in the USA, and the International Conference on Microprocesses and Nanotechnology (MNC) in Japan. It is a tradition that the author of the "Best Paper" of at least one of these related conferences is giving an invited talk at MNE. Conference structureThe MNE conference begins with a welcome reception on Monday 15 September 2008 in the evening.
